What We Did With Wallpaper
We recently worked on a project where the sellers were willing and did spend a great deal on market preparation including painting, flooring, staging with rental furniture and enhancing curb appeal.  There were some areas of the house that had wallpaper that would have cost them a great deal to attempt to remove so the recommendation was to paint over the wallpaper.  It had been applied very professionally and did not have bad seams.  It was sealed first with a very good primer.  Please enjoy the before and after photos.

Again I repeat, if your wallpaper is dated, you need cost effective solutions or it would be difficult to remove consider painting over the wallpaper.  Never paint wallpaper with bad seams or in bad shape.  It defeats the purpose of the paint.

The sellers were hesitant to paint over the wallpaper, but the savings and updated look of the house were well worth it.

Other cost effective painting solutions:
We had a bedroom that had one accent wall painted a very deep red.  We matched the paint of the other walls and painted the accent wall.  The room opened up and became more neutral without having to paint the entire room.

A bedroom had been painted with a personal theme and looked like a castle room.  Two walls had faux painted stones.  Instead of painting the entire room, we selected a wall color that complemented and blended with the other walls and painted the two stone walls for a more cost effective solution.
